Of CounselMs. Galina D. Urman serves as Of Counsel to the Belleh Law Group, PLLC on immigration and naturalization matters. Ms. Urman co-counsels with our law firm on all types of immigration cases, including: non-immigrant and immigrant visas, employment and family based immigration, asylum and naturalization. She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our firm having been handling E-B5, E-2 visas, L-1, H1-B and labor certifications.
Ms. Urman brings unique perspective to counseling and advising immigrants. As a fellow immigrant, she understands the pressures and the challenges in starting over in a new country. She came to this country as a refugee after the fall of the Soviet Union in 1992. Now a United States Citizen, she draws on this experience as a source of motivation and compassion for her clients. She has a profound appreciation of the issues that immigrants and their families face today and brings her own personal immigration experiences to bear.
Upon settling into a life in America with her family, Ms. Urman was raised in West Bloomfield, Michigan. She received her Bachelor of Arts, with Honors, in International Relations and a specialization in Political Economy from Michigan State University, Lansing, Michigan. She attended Thomas M. Cooley Law School, in Auburn Hills, Michigan, where she graduated with honors. Ms. Urman also studied at the prestigious Université Libre de Bruxelles, where she studied International Relations with a focus on the European Union (EU) and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).
Ms. Urman is fluent in English and Russian, and is a member of The Florida Bar, The American Immigration Lawyers Association, a Board Member of both the Russian American Bar Association of South Florida and Paragon Academy & Sunshine Elementary Charter School.
